Project Description
The bike tracker is a bicycle-attached solution that uses GPS, accelerometer and buzzer sensors to locate the bike and to trigger alarms in case of unauthorised use. The solution uses LoRa technology for its low-power consumption, long battery life and large signal coverage. The device uses the bike’s dynamo to recharge batteries and further extend the battery life of the device, while the LoRa connectivity makes position communication possible even without WiFi, 4G or GSM coverage.
Technical Description
- Tuino module with GPS, accelerometer, dynamo, buzzer, connecting bike to LoRa gateway, which in turns transmits data over the internet
- Backend server and MongoDB database
- Mobile app with bike location and buzzer activation features
